By far one of my top 5 favourite cocktails is the classic Negroni. And with National Negroni Week upon us, I figured it was a great time to post this recipe. I have kicked it up by using gin and bittersweet vermouth from Odd Society Spirits. Our favourite for locally-distilled delicious spirits. You must try their Crème de Cassis. Wow. Yum.
The Odd Negroni
Yield 1 cocktail
- 1 oz. Odd Society Wallflower Gin
- 1 oz. Campari
- 1 oz. Odd Society Bittersweet Vermouth
- Orange peel, for garnish
Combine gin, campari, and vermouth in a lowball glass. Top with ice. Whirl with a cocktail swizzle spoon to gently mix the spirits. Run the orange peel around the rim of the glass and garnish. Sip and savour.
This will be the best Negroni you’ve ever had. I’m not afraid to put that out there, because it’s damn true. Enjoy! But please, drink in moderation and responsibly! 🙂
