I like to play around with cocktail recipes. We have a pretty well-stocked bar but occasionally you don’t have exactly what you need for the classic. This Christmas Sour packs the same punch as our favourite go-to, Whisky Sour, but with that added flair to bring it into the holiday season. Be sure to add this to your menu over the next few weeks!
Adapted from The Blondielocks
- 1 fresh lemon juiced
- 2 oz rye whisky (I prefer Knob Creek)
- 1 oz Canadian maple syrup (the goods)
- 4 – 6 dashes pomegranate or cranberry bitters
I am not an egg white Sour type of girl, so you best warm up your shaker arms. 🙂
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Top with ice. Cover tightly and shake. And then shake some more. Fill two tumblers with ice and strain into glasses. Enjoy (in moderation)!
